Tourism Innovation Day 2009 is the seventh in this series of annual events and is run by the Tourism Innovation Group (TiG), Scottish tourism’s industry leadership organisation.
TiG is a private-sector led collection of some 50 businesses from all corners and all sectors of Scottish tourism. It aims to stimulate tourism operators into taking action to add to the quality, scope and success of Scottish tourism and improve Scotland’s competitiveness in tourism markets – in other words, to INNOVATE, to COLLABORATE and GROW the tourism economy. This means inspiring and challenging each other to do things differently - exploring new avenues, collaborating effectively and taking risks.
TiG is funded by key stakeholders in the Scottish tourism sector: Scottish Enterprise, Highlands & Islands Enterprise and VisitScotland and resourced by the time and enthusiasm of its members.
